The Vivienne Westwood women’s designer bags collection features contemporary styles, offered along with reimagined classics, drawing from the house’s rich heritage. The patent finishes of our revisited women’s bag styles take inspiration from the liquid latex sold in our iconic SEX boutique, while other classic designer women’s bags follow Vivienne’s pattern cutting techniques – featuring exaggerated curved gussets, contrasted with sharp corners throughout the design. Extravagant gilt frames, baroque velvet carpet and ornament-like designer bags, with engraved brass hardware, all adorn our collection of luxury bags for women. These are offered alongside sculptural forms or shiny finishes, inspired by bondage elements, reminiscent of the archive ‘Erotic Zones' collection and iconic ‘Sex’ boutique. Our ‘Made in Kenya’ collection also holds a significant place within the Westwood ethos. We continue to collaborate with Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) and Artisan Fashion to ensure dignified work for skilled women, men and communities, while offering a collection of unique, artisanal luxury bags for women. Designs are often inspired by 16th century sculptures and artworks from The Wallace Collection, which Vivienne once described as ‘A jewel box of treasures.’
