Originally inspired by an archival Vivienne Westwood cotton Babydoll dress from 1992, the Operetta dress reimagines the silhouette in structured silk Radzimir, with a built-in corset. A low décolletage is framed by twisted cap sleeves and a double-loop bow, accentuating the empire waist, while box pleats at the back evoke 18th-century dress. The silhouette subverts the sack-back gowns seen in Watteau’s paintings, transforming their voluminous form into a flirtatious mini dress with a playful, shortened hem.
