RECYCLED WOOL

The Winston Coat is a highlight of the Autumn-Winter 2025/26 collection.  Its wide lapels, flap pockets and elegant proportions are grounded in the tradition of Savile Row tailoring.

The main material of this double-breasted coat has been constructed from a combination of 50% pre-consumer recycled wool and 50% virgin wool; a fabric specifically developed to embrace a more circular economy within the production of the Vivienne Westwood collections.

In tailoring, attention to detail and fabric is key. The design approach for the Winston Coat involved a collaboration across our Italian supply chain. Pre-consumer materials - the scraps and leftovers of fabric at the end of the manufacturing process - were collected and reprocessed, giving us the unique opportunity to re-introduce these materials back into the production cycle.

The scraps collected were reprocessed into fibre and spun into yarn by Filatura Astro in Piedmont, with weaving - including finishing processes, completed by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Piedmont.

The final stages of tailoring took place in Marche, overseen by Lardini.

Given the nature of this process, the Winston Coat is available on a limited basis. This allows you to own a truly unique product.
