The number 19 is associated with energy, expansion and a new start. It encourages you to ‘reach for your goals and dream big…’ The planets are all lined up and it won’t happen again until we’re very old. So now is the time to make decisions and changes. To show what we can do in a masterful way, and fight for happiness and freedom.

Vivienne has taught me the love for tailoring and knitting. We always made it an anchor to every collection. Tailoring is an English invention; the formality it gives you is a framework to express yourself. There’s nothing more sexy than a suit!

This collection is about honouring the place I have lived for more than thirty years, London.

We are combining the Vivienne Westwood mainline with Andreas Kronthaler for the first time. It reminds me of the 90’s when we showed Red Label and Gold Label together.

There is Harris Tweed in all shades and patterns, Scottish tartan, Yorkshire wool, we are showing Menswear again… People who have inspired the collection: Quentin Crisp, Brigitte Bardot, Gertrude Stein, Cecil Beaton, Jerry Hall, Prince, Cary Grant, Rihanna and Vivienne Westwood!

“All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players” - As You Like It, William Shakespeare

Mutations from within, visible to the exterior, anticipate that which may lie beneath. Fabrications fuse disparate identities, superimposed materials eaten away as a means of revelation. Archival dresses, like memories, can be embedded within other minimal garments – layers discovered, within layers. A passage of time is implied through demarcation and patinating, materials intentionally faded, precious embroideries aged, a new approach to decoration. They have lived.
