The ‘Theia Rose Lace’ Dress is a bespoke corseted gown in ivory Chantilly lace, originally worn by Elle Fanning to the 2023 Met Gala in New York. The dress was styled with a tailored, cropped black crepe jacket and floral headpiece, crafted by Stephen Jones Millinery – finished with fresh daisies on a black sinamay band, with flowing black grosgrain ribbons. The inspiration behind the dress originates from a gown first presented in the Vivienne Westwood 2020 couture bridal collection. The gown was presented as a modern interpretation of the traditional bridal look, the clean strapless neckline and the two-tier trapeze angular shape create a statuesque silhouette - the grand pleated high train adds structured drama to the look, with a minimalist feel.
