The corseted Vaida dress is refined in its shape and construction to achieve an elevated look, wrapping fabric across the bodice and hips. The masterful drapes are achieved through an experimental pattern cutting technique, which plays with juxtaposing round and straight cut pattern pieces, creating unexpected folds and asymmetry.
The Vaida is available in a 100% silk grown with organic farming practices in place. Organic fibres are natural fibres grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides and GMOs (Genetic Modified Organisms).
It is styled here with the Elizabeth coat. It is also available in a pearl toned crepe satin, which contains 73% acetate and 27% viscose, both sourced through forestry guidelines that are environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable. This includes principles and criteria on forest management practices, respect for indigenous peoples' rights, workers' rights and local communities, environmental impacts and legal compliance.
