Inspired by the Spanish legend, the Mariposa embodies a celebration of transformation and ethereal beauty. The design explores the craftsmanship and grandeur of couture through sculptural form and iridescent embellishment. Drawing from the Queen of Sheba silhouette from the Vive La Cocotte collection, the embroidered corset features exaggerated hips and sculpted contours, with tonal skin-coloured layers, creating the illusion of a nude, sculpted body. Pearl, sequin and crystal embellishment brings luminosity to the look, while the dramatic layered tulle pannier skirt, artfully scrunched, gathered layers to create exaggerated volume which can be exchanged for a compact mini skirt, transforming the silhouette into a refined contemporary party look.
