In 2025, Vivienne Westwood extended its volunteering program to encompass more entities, giving the opportunity to an ever-expanding number of staff of giving back to their local community.
CRISIS
Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Crisis help people directly out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether. Vivienne Westwood has been working with Crisis since 2023 and supporting their cause in diverse ways such as clothing donations or volunteering. In 2025, Vivienne Westwood Ltd continued this partnership through volunteering at Crisis’ hotels and accommodations over the Christmas period. Additionally, Vivienne Westwood designed a set of Christmas Cards exclusively for Crisis, which raised £7,476.00, with 398 units sold. Vivienne Westwood Ltd also organized a donation drive, collecting requested items, going directly to people who need them most. 250 pieces of t-shirts and babygrows were also donated to Crisis to be used in their hotels and accommodations. On top of this, 8 pieces at a combined value of almost £3,000 were donated to the Crisis Pop-Up in Savile Row for them to sell and raise money for their cause.
PROJECT ONE WAVE
Project One Wave is a new initiative by the UK branch of the Captain Paul Watson Foundation (formerly Sea Shepherd – a non-profit marine organisation): www.paulwatsonfoundation.uk .
Vivienne Westwood has a long-standing relationship with Captain Paul Watson, with both Vivienne and Andreas having enjoyed a close relationship with Captain Paul Watson. During the SS25 Paris Fashion show, Calibrate, in September 2024 we advocated for Paul – then facing extradition for historic anti-whaling action – encouraging our audience to sign the petition for his release which became a reality a few months later.
The Project One Wave mission aims to set an example for the rest of the UK by collecting and sorting rubbish, harmful waste and ‘ghost-gear’ – abandoned fishing materials and equipment – which the collective are exploring to find different avenues for repurposing into hardware objects and textiles. Project One Wave is also working closely with British and European artists and musicians, creating a wider spread awareness of the issues of plastic pollution in our oceans through the collaborative creation of art and music. If successful, the pilot could be rolled out nationwide.
In May 2025, over the course of three days, our Supply Chain Responsibility Specialist attended Project One Wave’s pilot scheme to clean-up the coastline of Scotland with a 30-person team of conservationists, media, artists, policy makers and influential leaders.
In November 2025, our Responsibility Manager attended the Project One Wave Summit, an opportunity to bring together the creatives and industry leaders who support the Captain Paul Watson Foundation and the mission to save our oceans.
The summit consisted of 7 presentations, 2 panel discussions & 2 workshops and helped raise awareness of the work being carried out by all individuals / organisations who took part in the summit.
ROYAL TRINITY HOSPICE
Royal Trinity Hospice is the local hospice for south-west and central London, offering care and comfort. After volunteering with Royal Trinity Hospice for the first time in 2024, in 2025 Vivienne Westwood donated products with a combined value of almost £1,000 to the hospice’s annual gala, where the goods were auctioned to raise money for the hospice.
PROGETTO QUID
In 2025 for the first time, volunteering has been offered to VW SRL staff in collaboration with our long-standing partner and supplier ‘Progetto Quid’.
Progetto Quid is a social organization operating in the ethical fashion sector, offering job opportunities to people—especially women—from vulnerable backgrounds and giving a second life to donated fabrics from brands and supply chain partners.
In September and October 2025 groups of Vivienne Westwood volunteers supported at Progetto Quid’s Verona headquarters, by performing essential operational tasks such as sorting and labelling sample garments, managing inventory, or fabric sorting based on Quid's needs. These activities play a crucial role in maintaining efficient production lines and supporting its overall mission.
Quid's training needs have also led to the opportunity to dedicate 6.5 hours to a mentoring program involving colleagues from the Product Development and Research and Development, teams in our office in Milan. This is an opportunity for exchange, where we can share the knowledge and experience gained from our daily work. This exchange enabled us to share the knowledge and technical skills, gained through our daily work, while fostering mutual learning and collaboration.
Across three days of operational volunteering, 41 Vivienne Westwood Srl staff members were present to lend a helping hand and share their valuable experience. That constitutes 37% of Italian staff completing 21 hours of volunteering, working on 4,537 pieces.
For the mentorship part of the program, 16 Vivienne Westwood Srl colleagues participated, sharing valuable knowledge.
