
DIGITAL EDITOR – VIVIVIENNE WESTWOOD
(REPORTING TO BRAND DIRECTOR)
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Vivienne Westwood for an experienced and talented Digital Editor who will be responsible for both visual and written content. The applicant will lead to a wide range of digital media services and functions for the organisation.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience working in a creative environment, with a portfolio showcasing the ability to conceptualise and create cross-channel campaigns. They will be responsible for collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure a coherent brand image. They will work both with internal departments and external agencies to create the strategic and editorial direction of all online platforms, as well as driving the tone of voice across all channels.
We are looking for someone with the ability to produce stunning visuals and have the confidence to interpret briefs, both independently and as part of a team. They will have impeccable attention to detail and be able to work to tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will work alongside the marketing team to create a digital media strategy. They will collaborate with our production team and manage video and editorial content for all of our online platforms and campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the creative director to successfully deliver the seasonal brand messaging across all digital platforms
- Create a coherent tone of voice across all channels through visuals and copy
- Oversee the creation of new, compelling visual and written content for our digital platforms working alongside marketing and creative teams as well as commissioning work from outside creatives
- Developing imaginative and creative concepts for online and digital projects
- Work with our production team to deliver concepts for all still and video shoots
- Ensuring a high standard of visual and written execution across all media and campaignss
- Effectively communicate ongoing project status with stakeholders
Skills
- Highly creative individual with excellent visual and written skills
- Outstanding portfolio of successfully delivered projects that demonstrate a strong flair for visual communication of content, conceptual thinking and attention to detail
- Relevant industry experience within digital design – working with brand, advertising and editorial content (experience in digital or print journalism is an advantage)
- An innovator with a passion to deliver new, interesting and well-considered creative content
- Someone who understands digital design for conversion whilst never compromising on detail and quality
- Strong and proven skills in writing and editing (in native-level English), and in producing content for digital and social media
- Be a strong team player able to work across cultures, diverse backgrounds and virtual teams
- Good communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Be confident to explain and support their thinking, both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of HTML & CSS would be a bonus but not essential
- A good awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms
